Fauci: British data on the new Corona strain indicates that it is more deadly

Anthony Fauci, the chief infectious disease expert in the United States, said today, Sunday, that data coming from Britain on the new Corona strain indicates that it is more deadly.

In his interview with CBS of America, Fauchi said, “When British investigators studied the death rate for a certain age group, they found that it was one death per thousand … Then it rose to 1.3 per thousand in a certain group, and this is a big increase.” The most recent data is consistent with what the British say.

“We want to study this data ourselves, but we have every reason to believe it. They (the British) are very qualified,” he added.

And the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, announced two days ago that the current data indicated that the new strain of Corona virus recently discovered in the United Kingdom is considered more deadly than its counterparts.

On December 14, the British Minister of Health, Matt Hancock, announced that scientists had discovered a new strain of Corona virus in the United Kingdom, while the Prime Minister stated that it may be 70% more contagious.
