The Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, intends to present the resignation of his government soon to the President of the Republic, in order to form new ones that have a parliamentary majority that widens the margin of his movement.
“My goal is to reach an agreement that provides clear political horizons for governance,” Conte said, according to the Italian newspaper, La Repubblica.
The Italian newspaper stated that the Prime Minister will resign tomorrow Tuesday to form a new political alliance with the centrists and those he described as “responsible” parliamentarians, enabling him to form a new government that will have the necessary parliamentary majority for his rule, which he lost with the resignation of two ministers on January 13th belonging to the “FIFA” party. It is led by the former Prime Minister, Matteo Rentzi, against the background of the dispute over the method of managing the Corona epidemic crisis in the country.
