The Algerian authorities announced that the first batch of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against the Coronavirus will arrive tomorrow, Friday, at Bouvarik Airport, in the north of the country.
Informed sources indicated that the vaccination process against the virus will start the day after tomorrow, Saturday, in the state of Blida, and will primarily include the elderly and those with chronic diseases.
For its part, the Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed in a statement that Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed with his Algerian counterpart Sabri Boukadoum by phone the most urgent files related to the development of multi-directional cooperation between the two countries, with special attention to cooperation in fighting the Corona virus, including supplies of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine to Algeria.
Algeria became the first Arab country to approve the use of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine to vaccinate its citizens against Corona.
