Under the heading above, Lydia Mesnick, in “Gazeta Row”, wrote about Washington’s bet on “color revolutions” rather than “permanent wars.”
The article reads: The White House declared that the United States will no longer participate in endless wars. This is what is contained in the document “Strategic Warnings in the Field of National Security.”
However, Dmitry Suslov, deputy dean of the School of Global Economics and International Affairs at the Graduate School of Economics, sees nothing new in the White House statement. He said: The administration of President Barack Obama spoke previously about the need for the United States to end “eternal wars”. After him, the same declaration was repeated by his successor, Donald Trump.
According to Susloff, the Biden administration says, on the one hand, that the endless wars must end, which is really true, but, on the other hand, it clearly stated that the United States will not leave Syria and beyond the Euphrates.
In conjunction with declaring the end of “eternal wars”, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken promised that the new US administration would not impose democracy in other countries through military interventions and changing authoritarian regimes. But this does not mean abandoning the democracy promotion policy as a whole.
Suslof drew attention to the fact that the White House is talking today about the importance of spreading democracy, in the foreign policy agenda and in ordering US priorities in foreign policy, unlike Trump, who said that the United States should not impose its values on other countries.
According to the newspaper’s guest, the Biden administration will spread democracy through foreign aid, support for non-profit organizations, the opposition, information policy, organizing “color revolutions,” and even support for insurgencies, terrorists and warring parties where there are wars.
