The Saudi Control and Anti-Corruption Authority, Nazaha, revealed that 757 accused were investigated in criminal and administrative cases, and 241 citizens and residents were arrested pending investigation.
The authority stated that “among the detainees were employees from the Ministries of Interior, Health, Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Education, Human Resources and Social Development, as well as from the General Authority of Customs and Saudi Post.”
She emphasized that “the detainees were involved in charges of bribery, abuse of office influence, abuse of power, and forgery.”
She indicated that “the legal procedures are being completed in preparation for their referral to the judiciary,” stressing “continuing to protect and preserve public money.”
