The press office of the “Servant of the People” party, loyal to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, said that a member of the Ukrainian parliament, Alexander Dubinsky, who is under US sanctions, has been expelled from the party’s ranks.
On March 14, the “Servant of the People” party replaced the head of the party organization in Kiev, and replaced Dubinsky, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Andrei Motofilovits.
A statement issued by the party stated: “People’s Deputy Alexander Dubinsky was removed from the membership of the Servant of the People Party, for violating the party’s charter, and for disobeying the leading bodies in the party.”
The statement indicated that, by order of the party leader, on March 14, a meeting of the Kiev regional organization of the “Servant of the People” party was held to solve organizational issues in the party.
He indicated that Dubinsky could object to this decision at the next party conference.
Earlier, the United States authorities added seven citizens and four Ukrainian media outlets to the election-related sanctions lists. The new list included Alexander Dubinsky. After that, it was decided to expel him from the representative bloc of the same name as the party in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
