The White Lotus Dominates Emmy Nominations with 23 Nods

HBO’s The White Lotus continued its awards dominance, securing 23 Emmy nominations for its third season. This figure matches its Season 2 tally and raises the acclaimed series’ lifetime totals to 66 nominations and 15 wins.

The show is once again a contender for Outstanding Drama Series. The latest season, set at a wellness resort in Thailand, also delivered first-time Emmy nominations for performers Jason Isaacs, Scott Glenn, and Aimee Lou Wood.

In the Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category, Wood is joined by castmates Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, and Natasha Rothwell. This marks a return nomination for Rothwell, who was recognized for the same role in the show’s first season. Their competition includes Julianne Nicholson for Paradise, Katherine LaNasa for The Pitt, and Patricia Arquette for Severance.

The series also earned significant recognition in the male acting categories. Walton Goggins and Sam Rockwell join Isaacs with nominations for Supporting Actor, while Scott Glenn was honored in the Guest Actor category. Some industry watchers noted the absence of Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, and Patrick Schwarzenegger from the nominee list.

The White Lotus has consistently performed well in the supporting acting fields. Its 2022 debut season earned three supporting actor and five supporting actress nominations. In 2023, it scored four supporting actor and five supporting actress nods, including a win for Jennifer Coolidge.

Following its inaugural season, the Mike White-created satire was reclassified from a Limited Series to a Drama. The show was ineligible for last year’s Emmys after production on its third season was postponed due to the Hollywood strikes.

With 23 nominations, The White Lotus tied with The Studio for the third-most nods this year, trailing only Severance (27) and The Penguin (24).
