Ceska Moscow Club announced, in an official statement, today, Tuesday, the appointment of Ivica Olic, 41-year-old Croatian, as coach of the first football team at the Russian capital club.
“Olic returns to the club after 15 years. Management and Olic have reached an agreement that he will lead technical training for the first football team, and he will manage the first training today,” Ceska said in a statement.
Olic played 116 games for CSKA between 2003 and 2006, during which he scored 44 goals, and with the team he won the Russian League title on three occasions, the Cup and Super Cup on two occasions, and the European League title in 2005.
Olic occupied the position of assistant coach of the Croatian national team in October 2017 and reached the final match of the World Cup Russia 2018, before losing to the French national team and settling for the silver medal.
Olic played 104 matches for his country, scoring 20 goals.

On Monday, Ceska announced that he was leaving the services of the Belarusian coach, Victor Gancharenko, who has been leading the team since December 2016, and thanked him for the period he spent with the team.
