The Saudi Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that the launch of this project, in cooperation with the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence, “SADAYA”, aims to “enable its official use as an electronic proof of evidence; as part of a joint cooperation aimed at digitizing government identification documents.”
The ministry noted that “the digital identity in the Tawakolna application is identical to the digital identity in the Ministry of Interior’s electronic application (Absher Individuals) and is an official document approved for citizens and residents to prove their identities with security men. Their transactions are easy, convenient, and in one place. “
The Saudi Interior indicated that “this cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and Sadaa, in implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence, to enhance integration between government agencies within the framework of efforts to enable digital transformation, in order to achieve the goals of the vision 2030, with the aim of facilitating the lives of citizens and residents on the land of the Kingdom.
