The US State Department condemned the recent Houthi attack, which targeted an oil facility in southern Saudi Arabia.
US State Department spokesman Ned Price accused the Houthis of prolonging the suffering of the Yemeni people and threatening peace efforts. The Saudi Ministry of Defense had announced the interception of drones and ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis towards the Kingdom. A spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Defense, Turki al-Maliki, described the Houthi attack on a petroleum products station in Jizan, as a target for the security of energy exports and freedom of navigation. This comes after the spokesman for the Ansar Allah al-Houthi group / Yahya Saree / his forces have targeted Saudi sites with eighteen drones and eight Ballistic missiles.
