The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFSH) announced, through its website, the 10 best African clubs during the last decade 2011-2020.
Tunisia’s Esperance Club topped the list for the first time in its history, ahead of Egypt’s Al-Ahly and Tunisia’s Sahel star, who finished second and third respectively.

Esperance, which is on the way to crowning the Tunisian League for the fifth year in a row and seventh in the last ten years, won the title of the best team in Africa from the Egyptian club Al-Ahly, which was at the top of the decade before the last (2001-2010).
Al-Ahly came second after winning three copies of the African Champions League 2012, 2013 and 2020, with reaching the final rounds in 2017 and 2018.
Tunisia’s Etoile Sahel came third, while Egypt’s Zamalek finished fourth, while the Congolese TB Mazembe returned fifth.
Al-Hilal Al-Sudani, Al-Wadad Morocco, Tunisian Club Sfaxien, Al-Merrekh Al-Sudani and Moroccan Raja occupied the positions from 5 to 10.
