Christian Bale, accompanied by his wife, Sandra “Sibi” Blažić, and their two children, made a rare family appearance at the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda couture show in Rome on Monday. The couple, married since 2000, attended with their daughter, Emmeline “Luka,” 20, and son, Joseph, 10.
The family of four presented a unified front, posing for photographs in coordinated all-black ensembles from the Italian fashion house. The 51-year-old actor and his son both wore classic suits, while Blažić, 55, opted for a long-sleeved black lace dress. Their daughter echoed her mother’s style in a similar dress, accessorized with a statement necklace and her hair styled in a bun.
While Bale and Blažić have largely kept their children out of the spotlight, the siblings are familiar with the prestigious fashion event. In 2021, Luka walked the Alta Moda runway in an embroidered tulle dress, and she and her brother attended the show together again the following year.
Beyond the fashion world, both children have also ventured into acting. Luka and Joseph appeared alongside their father in the 2022 film “Thor: Love and Thunder,” playing children of New Asgard. Bale previously revealed that his children also contributed creatively to the movie by helping director Taika Waititi design the creatures summoned by his character, Gorr.
“He had them draw a lot of sketches, and then the magic of the VFX guys, they created something monstrous out of that,” Bale told Marvel, noting that Waititi cultivated a “family-friendly environment” on set.
The Bales were among several high-profile guests at the multi-day Dolce & Gabbana celebration, which also featured a headline performance from Cher.
