Mum-of-two, Carolina McCauley showed off the three hacks in a recent TikTok video – which quickly went viral.
The first tip in the video was for separating an egg yolk from the white.

Carolina simply puts a slotted spoon over a bowl and cracks the egg over the top.
The egg whites fall through the slots leaving the yolk neatly on top of the spoon.
In the second part of the quick clip Carolina shows off her full-proof method of cleaning her washing machine’s soap dispenser.
She simply removes it and puts it into the top drawer of the dishwasher, face down.

The third hack shows her fans how she manages to keep her laundry detergent bottle clean.
She throws the cap in with a load of washing to remove any built-up soap around the rim or on the outside.
And her followers were impressed.
‘You are awesome,’ some of her fans posted, thanking her for the video.

But they were quickly pulled up by others.
‘I have been doing this for years and it has honestly never damaged my clothes,’ they said.
