A ‘formerly majestic’ Colorado Springs home left in ruin and covered in graffiti by an angry former tenant has gone on the market for $590,000.
Listed as an ‘investor special’ on Zillow, the 3,598 square-foot home is advertised as a fixer upper after it was destroyed by the prior tenant who covered the walls with spray-painted messages including ‘evict me b***h’ and left a pile of rotten meet in a freezer.
The five bedroom, four bathroom home ‘was once the seller’s pride and joy, now it’s every landlord’s nightmare,’ states the listing, which is blunt about it being being a tough sell and needing someone ‘with firm resolve to appreciate its potential’.
‘If you dream of owning your own little slice of hell and turning it into a piece of heaven, then look no further!’ the listing says, but warns: ‘This house is not for the faint of heart but for that special person who can see through the rough diamond to the polished gem inside.’

Colorado Springs real estate agent Mimi Foster gave a video tour of the home and posted it to YouTube.
‘In decades of being a real estate agent and a landlord, nothing could of prepared me for what I was about to encounter’ she ominously says before entering the home.
She noted in her video tour that first thing you notice when you enter is not the destruction but the ‘overwhelming smell’ as you open the door.
Foster said the smell is due to the human and animal feces left by the tenant in the living room, atop spray painted carpets with messages referring to the ‘s***’ left behind.
She said the carpets were also ‘saturated with urine’ and the former tenant, a woman who owned a lot of pets, left two of her cats to die in one of the home’s bathroom after she was evicted.
Foster added that the home’s owner moved out of state over a decade ago and the property manager has not stepped into the home in just as long.
The person on the lease was not the same person as the one living there.
While no one knows what happened to the original leaser, it is believed she died and a relative moved in, Foster said.
The relative who moved in is the person who was responsible for the serious damage done to the home.
‘From all accounts this lady was crazy as a bedbug,’ Foster said. ‘The neighbors said they danced a jig when this nightmare tenant who had been a thorn on their side for years moved out.’

The former tenant left the Colorado Springs home completely destroyed, including the carpets, which were ‘saturated with urine’
The angry tenant also left a freezer in the basement full of meat, which would not be a problem except for the fact that the freezer has not had electricity for over a year
The angry tenant seemed to leave one of the home’s bathroom without graffiti but it is still in poor condition and filled with trash
The property also features a walk-out to a back deck, but the listing warns not to go out there as it is considerably damaged as well
The second floor even has two additional bedrooms and bathrooms, but they are ‘all covered in black spray paint, vulgarities, and other substances which are no longer identifiable,’

The home’s owner moved out of state over a decade ago and the property manager has not stepped into the home in just as long
Foster said the property manager told the owner that the tenant filed a motion to be allowed back into the house to get her things after being evicted and when the request was granted she used the opportunity to unleash her wrath onto the property.
But Foster said neighbors informed her the actual moving out process took months, leaving her to believe there is something ‘fishy’ about the property manager’s account of what took place.
But despite the unappealing conditions, the home is still up for grabs.
If a potential buyer is able to overlook the defacement they can see that the first floor of the home features high ceilings and a ‘wonderful’ open floor plan with a second-floor overlook, the listing says.
The main floor features a spacious living room, a dining room, and a kitchen with a dining area.
The home’s main floor also includes a family room with fireplace, a laundry room and a main floor bedroom and bath.
The property also features a walk-out to a back deck, but the listing warns not to go out there as it is considerably damaged as well.
‘The deck is not necessarily attached to the house in the manner you might hope,’ the listing says without offering further details.
The second floor of the home has a catwalk, a large master bedroom with master bath featuring a soaking tub and dual sinks, according to the listing.
The second floor also includes two additional bedrooms and bathrooms, but they are ‘all covered in black spray paint, vulgarities, and other substances which are no longer identifiable,’ of course.
But it gets worse, the listing says.
Apparently the angry tenant also left a freezer in the basement full of meat, which would not be a problem except for the fact that the freezer has not had electricity for over a year.
The basement was also left with plastic bins filled with animal feces, Foster points out in her tour.
‘So be sure to wear your mask,’ the listing warns before entering the basement. ‘Not for anyone else’s protection but your own. You may not be able to endure the smell if you don’t.’
In a final warning in all caps, the listing goes out of it’s way to remind potential buyers to avoid the freezer.
‘DO NOT OPEN FREEZER IN BASEMENT,’ the listing warns one final time.
