Gabi Grecko has weighed in with her theories about Geoffrey Edelsten’s sudden death last week.
In an interview with the Herald Sun on Thursday, the 32-year-old self-described ‘widow’ of the late millionaire businessman claimed he’d lost the will to live.
Gabi – who admitted on Instagram that she hadn’t been in contact with Geoffrey for a year-and-a-half prior to his death – said he had multiple issues he was dealing with.
‘I feel almost bad, I think if he was in better spirits he would have lived, but he had so much debt, and his mum passed away, and I had left, I think he just gave up,’ she claimed.Â

Gabi said she was still coming to terms with Geoffrey’s death and was grieving the loss of her former husband. Â
‘I haven’t found love after him. And it’s sad I can never speak to him, even if I wanted,’ she continued.
‘I’m definitely trying to grieve in a healthy way despite mean people saying I don’t care. This is a person I married and actually did love, so it’s definitely a loss that will affect me.’Â
On Wednesday, Gabi remembered Geoffrey by sharing a bizarre gallery of Christmas-themed photos.Â
The images showed the colourful businessman – who was Jewish – wearing a Santa costume with a menorah hanging around his neck.
Meanwhile, Gabi opted for a racy red and white mini-dress with a deep V-neckline and corseted waist.Â
The former couple posed on a plush red carpet and posed in front of a mini model of the Eiffel Tower, which had been decorated with Christmas baubles.
‘RIP,’ Gabi simply captioned the post.Â

On the same day, Geoffrey was laid to rest in a traditional Jewish ceremony in Melbourne.
It was a simple farewell attended by just over 30 mourners, who gathered at his plot within the Jewish gardens of the Springvale Botanical Cemetery – southeast of the city.
The doctor, who was jailed in 1990 for perverting the course of justice and soliciting Christopher ‘Mr Rent-a-Kill’ Dale Flannery to assault a former patient, was remembered for his kindness. Â
One man, only identified as Mike, said he would keep his words brief due to the reporters lurking about within earshot.
He had met Edelsten 35 years ago and was instantly impressed with his friend’s dedication to medicine.
‘The patients always came first,’ he told mourners.
He described Edelsten as being ‘before his time’ in the innovations he introduced to the Australian medical industry. Â
Edelsten had made his millions back in the 1980s after developing a medical computer system that revolutionised the industry.Â

Meanwhile, in a post on Instagram on Tuesday, Gabi claimed that she never divorced the multimillionaire businessman when they split in 2015.Â
‘For people who have asked. No me and Geoffrey were still married when he passed away, no divorce, widowed,’ she wrote.
In a since-deleted post on Instagram on Monday, Gabi also claimed she was in with a shot at a slice of his fortune.Â
She shared a bizarre post from an Instagram follower, who claimed Geoffrey had told her three years ago that he would leave Gabi ‘something’ in his will.Â

‘I met Mr Edelsten at a hospital in Australia three years ago. He told me that Gabi is the only woman that he has ever loved and that he can never love another woman,’ the post read.Â
‘He also mentioned that unlike the others, she was not with him for his money and that he intends to leave her something in his last will and testament upon his passing.’Â
Geoffrey was found dead aged 78 by a cleaner at his Melbourne apartment on Friday, June 11 – the anniversary of his wedding to Gabi.Â

Gabi and Geoffrey dated on and off for five years, before marrying in Melbourne back in 2015.
He was 72 and she was only 26 when they tied the knot in an elaborate wedding ceremony.Â
But their marriage proved to be short-lived, with the former couple splitting just a few months later.
