Her mother, Danielle Diesso, was at the register at the time and heard the sound of the heavy door closing.
‘It just, like, slammed and clicked so I was, like, just what happened?’ Giavanna told Newsday.
The 14-year-old was trapped in the vault for nearly two hours and kept herself busy by talking to friends, CBS 2 reported.
‘I was a little nervous that something was gonna go wrong, but then like, I also couldn’t really tell what was going on on the outside,’ Giavanna said. ‘I was kind of just waiting for the drill to pop through the wall.’
‘She didn’t show an ounce of fear at all, which I’m amazed by,’ her mom proudly told CBS 2.
