The Las Vegas Raiders are hosting veteran safety Jamal Adams for a visit and are expected to sign him to a contract, according to reports. This move would reunite Adams with Raiders Head Coach Pete Carroll, under whom he played for several seasons in Seattle.
Adams, 29, was selected by the New York Jets in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. After his initial contract, the Jets traded him to the Seahawks in a blockbuster deal that included two first-round picks. In August 2021, Seattle signed Adams to a four-year, $70 million extension.
The Seahawks released Adams in March of this year. He subsequently had a brief tenure with the Tennessee Titans and was later signed to the Detroit Lions’ practice squad in December 2024 before being released.
Across five appearances for the Lions and Titans during the 2024 season, Adams recorded seven tackles.
