Tottenham Hotspur’s Men’s First Team will play two pre-season friendlies this Saturday, with both matches being streamed live on the club’s video platform, SPURSPLAY.
The day’s action begins at 11 am with a behind-closed-doors match against League One side Wycombe Wanderers at the Hotspur Way training ground. Following that, the team travels to Kenilworth Road for a 3 pm kick-off against Luton Town.
These fixtures follow Tottenham’s 2-0 pre-season opening win against Reading last weekend.
Manager Thomas Frank explained that the additional game against Wycombe was scheduled to increase player fitness ahead of the team’s upcoming tour. “We wanted an extra game in our schedule to give as many players as many match minutes as possible, in order to put them in the best position, physically,” Frank stated. “We will play two even, strong teams and they will play between 60 and 75 minutes, maybe more. By the end of Saturday, 22 players will have played a lot of match minutes and they will be in a very good place before we go on tour.”
SPURSPLAY will broadcast all of the club’s pre-season matches, including the first North London derby to be held outside the UK when Tottenham faces Arsenal in Hong Kong.
