As a player who has completed four years of college career, Davion Mitchell should be one of the greatest certainties of the last draft. The Kings’ brand new exterior is an already formed profile and defensive prowess he has accompanied with polished shooting creation in his final year with Baylor. This is exactly how the leader of his new team, De’Aaron Fox sees it. “I’m sure he will help us from the get-go.” declares for The Sacramento Bee.
The Sacramento base accompanied this belief by warning of Mitchell’s virtues. “He’s a more veteran rookie, so he’s more ready for the NBA and he’s stronger than most. He weighs 92 kilos at 1.88 so he’s ready to contribute to the team. ” Davion Mitchell was chosen in the ninth position of the last draft after advancing a few positions thanks to his great performance in the March Madness that he ended up winning. Already as a Kings player, he has excited a good part of the franchise with his performance in the Summer League in Las Vegas, whose MVP he shared with Cameron Thomas, of the Nets. Also here his team was champion.
It is not the first time that one of the visible faces of the Californian team has paid compliments of this type to Mitchell, since Tyrese Haliburton has already taken care of clearing doubts about his arrival in the podcast by JJ Redick. “Some may wonder what management does by selecting another exterior. But I’m excited about his arrival and what a defensive profile like his will help us with ”.
