With two weeks to go until the regular season starts, there are still several decisions to make for the Golden State Warriors. Californians now have 19 players on the squad, of which only 15 will be able to continue once the course begins, so these days will serve to determine who ends up forming part of the final squad and who does not. Specifically, there are five men who are “fighting” for a final gap, a fight in which it seems that Avery Bradley is leading.
The escort recently came to the franchise through an Exhibit-10 contract, making his presence at the roster final is not guaranteed, nor is that of Langston Galloway, Jordan Bell, Mychal Mulder and Gary Payton II. According to Anthony Slater, a journalist from The AthleticThe former Heat has a slight lead right now, pointing to Payton’s recent back injury as one of the elements that can make a difference in a decision that will be made with very little margin.
Slater also states that, out of the five candidates, Mychal Mulder has the advantage of still being eligible to sign a contract. two-way, which could put him in the squad even if another player is chosen for 15th place. The Warriors only have Chris Chiozza on a dual contract, so they could sign another man this way, and it seems that the point guard could be the chosen one if San Francisco finally end up opting for Bradley or any of the other options.
We will see if Avery manages to maintain this apparent advantage in the weeks that remain or if it is finally another candidate who ends up convincing the Warriors. In any case, the rest will have the opportunity to search for equipment as the course progresses.
