The Hornets are the second team to win this season in Washington. The North Carolinians leaned on their backcourt starter (LaMelo Ball plus Terry Rozier) to defeat the capital in a match that they seemed to have under control, but could not close until the final moments to conclude winning 103-109.
LaMelo went up to 28 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals, while Terry Rozier achieved his highest score of the season with 32 points, including a decisive triple with 15 seconds remaining to sentence the crash. Such a performance comes after the guard posted a painful 2-for-16 on 3-pointers in the previous three games.

Despite the loss, the Wizards remain in the top spots in the Eastern Conference with an excellent 11-6 record. They are close to the Hornets, who after winning six of their last seven games are fifth in the East at 11-8.
