De’Aaron Fox, Terence Davis and Davion Mitchell added at least 20 points each to beat the Clippers at Staples Center 124-115. The California men have a favorable 3-3 since Alvin Gentry took the reins of the bench after the dismissal of Luke Walton.
Fox led the Kings offense with 24 points; Davis had 23 points with 5 of 9 on triples; and rookie Mitchell finished with 20 points from the second unit, including 7-of-10 from the field.
In the Angels, currently with three losses in a row and an 11-11 record, backups Terance Mann and Luke Kennard were the top scorers with 19 points each; and inside Ivica Zubac added 17 points and 8 rebounds.
Paul George missed a break, and his absence took a toll on the Clippers’ offense, who did not reach 30% on 3s. In addition, it should be remembered that they cannot count on their other star Kawhi Leonard (injured in the anterior cruciate ligament).
In the current season, George is being the main reference for Los Angeles with figures of 25.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.8 steals in 35.5 minutes.
On the next day the Kings will meet again with the Clippers on December 5 from 04:00 in the morning Spanish time. For their part, the Clippers will play the Los Angeles derby the day before also at 04:00.
