The government of the state of Durango confirmed that it has “in guard and custody” the aircraft marked Gulftream, model 1000, serie 96056, matrícula actual XC-AA19, which was auctioned and awarded to a businessman from Querétaro at the end of last year.
He explained that the aircraft is in the hangar of the state government, since it is officially under the guard and custody of the Fiscal Sub-Attorney Office of the Ministry of Finance and Administration of the state government.
Arturo Díaz Medina, Secretary of Finance of the government of that entity, explained that so far no official notification of removal of the guard and custody assigned by the Institute to Return the Stolen to the People (Indep), nor has the place where it has to be delivered been notified, according to the procedure established by law.
The official stressed that “delivering the aircraft to an individual without complying with the formal procedures may imply a responsibility, since the entity that has to formally notify the Government of the State of Durango is the Indep and not an individual.”
According to the secretary, the guarding and custody of the aircraft, handed over to the government headed by José Rosas Aispuro Torres, took place for more than 19 years and is carried out under the legal framework established for this figure, so, in at all times it has been protected and given the corresponding maintenance. He explained that, only in the last year, it has meant a cost of 2 million 316, 346 pesos.
Díaz Medina mentioned that the state government has full respect for all the procedures that are carried out, but always under the legal framework and with the proper official support, in order to maintain transparency and legality in each action.
The aforementioned aircraft was acquired by Queretaro businessmen in a public auction organized by the then Asset Administration and Disposal Service (SAE), of the Ministry of Finance, now converted into the Institute to Return the Stolen to the People (Indep) at the end of last year.
The businessmen paid the price established in the auction and the corresponding ruling, issued on November 24, 2021, but the Indep has not delivered them.
