Liverpool has completed the signing of 17-year-old forward Will Wright from Salford City.
Sources report that the Premier League club paid an initial fee of £200,000 for the teenager, beating out interest from Arsenal. Wright, who made two appearances in League Two last season, was understood to be keen on remaining in the North West.
He made his senior debut for Salford City in the EFL Trophy last November.
Wright has already appeared for Liverpool’s U21s, playing for the side managed by former Wales boss Rob Page in a goalless draw against Hull City.
