The popular Roblox farming simulator, Grow a Garden, has launched its highly anticipated Trading and Cooking Event Update. Released on August 2, the update introduces a new cooking event, a comprehensive trading system, and a variety of new pets and cosmetic items.
A central feature of the update is the Chris P. Bacon Cooking Event, where players can use fruits and vegetables from their gardens to craft new recipes in the Cooking Pot. These dishes can be given to the event’s main character, Chris P. Bacon, to earn unique rewards. The value and rarity of the ingredients used will determine the quality of the rewards received. Adding a layer of strategy, the character’s food cravings change every hour.
Key rewards from participating in the event include the Gourmet Seed Pack, Gourmet Egg, Food Crate, Pet Shard Fried, Mochi Mouse, and the Artichoke and Fork Fence.
A major challenge for players is discovering the correct ingredient combinations. The known recipes include:
- Soup (5m): Any fruit or vegetable (Any Pot Color)
- Salad (5m 18s): 2x Tomato; or 1x Giant Pinecone and 1x Tomato; or 4x Bone Blossom and 1x Tomato (Pot Color: Red)
- Ice Cream (5m 48s): 1x Strawberry and 1x Corn; or 1x Blueberry and 1x Corn (Pot Color: Yellow)
- Cake (5m 55s): 2x Blueberry, 1x Corn, and 1x Tomato (Pot Color: Teal or Lemon Yellow)
- Waffle (6m 15s): 1x Pumpkin and 1x Watermelon; or 1x Pumpkin and 1x Sugar Apple
- Hotdog (6m 46s): 1x Pepper and 1x Corn or Banana; or 1x Corn and 1x Ember Lily; or 4x Ember Lily and 1x Corn; or 4x Bone Blossom and 1x Corn (Pot Color: Tan)
- Sushi (7m 21s): 4x Bamboo and 1x Corn (Pot Color: Turquoise)
- Pizza (7m 36s): 1x Banana and 1x Tomato; or 2x Corn, 2x Apple, and 1x Pepper (Pot Color: Red-Maroon)
- Sandwich (7m 6s): 2x Tomato, 1x Corn (Pot Color: Orange)
- Pie (7m 52s): 1x Pumpkin and 1x Apple; or 1x Corn and 1x Coconut; or 1x Corn, 3x Coconut, and 1x Mango (Pot Color: Green)
- Burger (10m 32s): 1x Pepper, 1x Corn, and 1x Tomato; or 1x Pepper, 1x Corn, 1x Tomato, 1x Bone Blossom, and 1x Beanstalk (Pot Color: Red)
- Donut (9m 37s): 1x Corn, 1x Blueberry, and 1x Strawberry; or 1x Strawberry, 1x Tomato, and 1x Apple
The update also introduces new cosmetic items, which can be obtained from the Food Crate reward. These items include a Pink Cake, Blue Cake, Coffee Machine, Banana Hammock, Hotdog Cart, Cheese Mat, and a Golden Hotdog Statue.
Additionally, players can acquire the new Gourmet Egg by feeding Chris P. Bacon. This egg has a chance to hatch one of several food-themed pets, such as the Bagel Bunny, Pancake Mole, Sushi Bear, Spaghetti Sloth, and French Fry Ferret.
Alongside the cooking event, a new trading system has been implemented. To initiate a trade with another player, users must now possess a Trading Ticket, which can be purchased from the Gear Stall for 100,000 Sheckles.
