Microsoft has announced the first wave of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in August 2025, featuring major additions like Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Aliens: Fireteam Elite.
The rollout began on August 5 with the indie adventure Rain World, which is now available on Cloud, Console, and PC. This is followed on August 6 by a quartet of games for Xbox Series X/S: the dice-based RPG Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, the winter sports title Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, MechWarrior 5: Clans, and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap.
On August 7, the headline addition Assassin’s Creed Mirage arrives on Cloud, Console, and PC. This entry in the long-running franchise returns to a more focused, stealth-based experience set in 9th-century Baghdad.
Later in the month, Aliens: Fireteam Elite joins the library for Cloud, Console, and PC on August 12. The release coincides with the premiere of the new television series Alien: Earth on FX and Hulu.
Finally, a Game Preview build of the roguelike kingdom builder 9 Kings will be available for PC Game Pass members on August 14.
