(CNN Spanish) — Ana de Armas is turning heads for her stunning portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in Blonde, the new Netflix movie that pays homage to Hollywood’s ‘golden blonde’.

Ana de Armas (2021)
Ana de Armas gives a stunning performance as Marilyn Monroe in BLONDE, a film that takes viewers through Monroe’s life since she was a child.
“‘BLONDE’ blurs the lines of fact and fiction to explore the widening divide between her public and private selves,” reads a synopsis for the film.
The film, written and directed by Andrew Dominik, also stars Bobby Cannavale, Adrien Brody, Julianne Nicholson, Xavier Samuel and Evan Williams.
The film is based on the best-selling novel by Joyce Carol Oates and opens in late 2022.
Catherine Hicks (1980)
In “Marilyn: The Untold Story,” Hicks plays Marilyn Monroe, from her rise to Hollywood stardom, through her marriages and her untimely death in August 1962.
