The Texas Rangers are set to open a three-game home series against the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday, August 7. Patrick Corbin will take the mound for Texas, opposite Philadelphia’s left-hander Cristopher Sanchez.
In response to the lefty starter, the recently activated Jake Burger will serve as the designated hitter, leaving Corey Seager as the lone left-handed bat in the Rangers’ lineup.
First pitch in Arlington is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Central Time. The Rangers enter the contest as +115 underdogs.
