Solvento, Emptor and Hellosafe were the startups of the week

Solvento raised 5 million dollars

The fintech mexicana Solvento received a seed financing round for 5 million dollars. The investment was led by the Ironspring Ventures fund and also had the participation of Quona Capital, Proeza Ventures, Dynamo Ventures, Zenda Capital, Susa Ventures, 9yards Capital and Supply Chain Collective.

• The credit startup oriented to the transportation sector in Mexico, it will use these resources to accelerate the development of its digital platform, hire talent in strategic areas and expand its commercial efforts to the rest of the country.
• The company is dedicated to offering payment automation services, financing and, in general, to solving the liquidity needs of carriers.
• Solvento has lent a total of 13 million dollars to 4,000 people dedicated to transport.

2) Gabriel Puliatti, CEO of Emptor, visits Mexico

The founder and director of the startup of identity verification Emptor was visiting Mexico with the objective of communicating the company’s step from offering only a background verification platform to transportation companies by application and logistics to providing a complete identity verification service in hiring processes.

• The company began in 2017 to offer background check services to transportation application companies, such as Uberin Peru and Chile.
• Founded by Gabriel Puliatti and Oriana Fuentes, the company is now dedicated to offering a hiring platform that helps make human resource decisions through process automation.

3) Hellosafe raised $4.2 million

The Canadian insurance aggregator Hellosafe raised a seed financing round for 4.2 million dollars, which was led by OneRagtime and Kima Ventures.

• The company will dedicate the resources of this investment to grow its teams, improve the experience of its users on its platforms and will expand into new categories of financial products in Mexico.
• Hellosafe seeks to multiply the audience of its platform in Mexico by 10 in the next two years.
