Compucentro takes its guests on a “trip to Mars”, XaaS all as a service

Last Thursday, October 20, different companies gathered for the Mezcal Tasting “Flavors of space” of the Compucentro technology company. The guests began to arrive in the evening at a restaurant in Polanco, where the event took place.

Compucentro is starting a new journey as an X as a Service company. Together with the Xplorers, Compucentro have ventured to push the limits of technology to Mars. Horacio Gutiérrez, director of Compucentro, welcomed clients and friends who have walked with the company throughout its 33-year history.

The view of the sky at dusk from the terrace overlooking the Soumaya museum only made guests feel more like they were looking at Earth from space.

Once settled, the executives were able to start with the presentation of the new Compucentro image, which is faithful to the concept of the trip to Mars.

According to Daniel Olave, manager of the sales department, Compucentro has in its DNA the passion to accompany and guide customers on their journey, just as a digital sherpa would, so that they reach their destination thanks to the new Compucentro X era. as a Service.

With this introduction, Daniel Olave presented the attendees with the launch video of the new image, where the all-as-a-service business units that Compucentro has in its commercial offer are broken down, such as Managed Printing System (SAI), Device as a Service (DaaS), Network as a Service (NaaS) and Data Center as a Service (DCaaS). Technologies as a service imply that Compucentro provides hardware, software and service in a single contract, in a monthly subscription payment model, so consuming technology under this business model has the benefit of better financial intelligence, scalability, thanks to the subscription payment model, cost optimization and everything in the hands of a passionate, committed and constantly developing team to provide the best service.

Subsequently, Obed Calva, a Data Center specialist, gave a brief informative talk on HPE GreenLake, an on-demand consumption model that has the experience of the modern cloud for companies that require the agility of the public cloud with the benefits of security, compliance and on-premises control.

HPE GreenLake enables companies to turn their CAPEX into OPEX, reduce the time spent implementing digital projects, and avoid over-provisioning.

Subsequently, the heads of the company’s business units – and therefore, Xplorers – gave a brief description of what their unit entails, the benefits and the work model.

Once the presentations were over, the guests not only enjoyed a mezcal tasting and pairing dinner, but at the end they also received a delicious beer from Cervecería El Secreto as a gift, a sponsorship with flavors from the space.
