State Government has carried out 515 Public Works with a social purpose

• The Secretary of Public Works highlighted that 2 thousand 715 million pesos have been invested in these works for the entire state.

Culiacán, Sinaloa, October 24, 2022.- During his speech at Governor Rubén Rocha Moya’s Weekly Conference, Secretary of Public Works José Luis Zavala Cabanillas reported that 515 works and actions have been carried out throughout the state since the start of the current administration, with an investment of 2 thousand 715 million pesos.

Zavala Cabanillas highlighted that, of these 515 works, almost 150 are for roads and highways, since they have worked hard on rehabilitation, new roads, roads, resurfacing, water and drainage; for sports, 3 have been carried out and in security he explained that they carry out 13 works of great magnitude, while in urban infrastructure he clarified that there are about 70 works with an estimate of 244 million pesos.

He also explained that the investment for works in Health is being carried out directly through the Health Services who are in charge of remodeling and direct contracting of the works.

“The roads and highways stand out a lot, which is a lot of rehabilitation of roads and new highways, roads too, rehabilitations, reincarpeted, new roads, water and drainage, almost 150 outstanding works, surely with those of Ohuira that we are going to do soon we will reach the 150 works; in sports we have done 3 works; In health we have lowered our investment because Health Services is the one that is currently in charge of remodeling and direct construction contracting; in security we have 13 large infrastructure works and in urban infrastructure which is more than anything parks and roads, bridges and all that from the cities we have 244 million pesos with about 70 works”, he said.

In water and drainage works, Zavala Cabanillas clarified that they have carried out 148 with a budget close to 780 million pesos. While for the sports works they have coordinated with the PIDS where the Public Works Secretariat verifies the unit prices and monitors the works so that they are transparent.

The Secretary of Public Works indicated that in addition to all these works, another 24 have already been programmed in the registry for the regularization of vehicles, with an amount of 74 million pesos, which will be added to these 2 thousand 715 million, and mentioned that these also include the 54 million from the migrant center, federal works such as labor conciliation centers, women’s justice centers and prison rehabilitation.
