The opposition that does not seem opposition

Many claim that the Mexican opposition (Movimiento Ciudadano, PAN, PRI, and PRD) is lost, divided, and too complacent with the government.

In this almost cartoonish opposition, there are qualities: Alito Moreno’s PRI guarantees its impunity and influence, in the face of the complacency of a PRI political class more concerned with keeping its ass out of jail than rebuilding that party.

The PRI members seem determined to destroy themselves. Alejandra del Moral’s attacks on the PAN member Enrique Vargas in the State of Mexico ended up handing over the jewel in the crown to Delfina Gómez, who wears it on her chest in the polls.

The PRD of the mongrels exists thanks to electoral alliances, in every election it enters alone it loses its registration. Without words, straight to electoral hell.

The Dantesque Citizen Movement deserves a separate mention, which at the same time that it sabotages the opposition coalition, waits patiently for the highest bidder, opens its doors to corcholatas and considers that AMLO’s contempt will be enough for them to join their cause.

Don Dante Delgado, eternal owner, is very sure that his 5% of his party will be highly valued in the electoral stock market.

The PAN is the only worthwhile opposition, patiently waiting for the moment to lead the silent majority that opposes AMLO’s project.

From the opposition stands out the figure of Luis Colosio Riojas, who despite occupying a second level political position as mayor of Monterrey is the favorite in the polls.

The young Colosio could compete for the party he wanted, put up a fight in the presidential election and snatch half a congress from the morenistas; for now he participates with MC, but not Don Dante Delgado is not a saint of his devotion.

In short, a political class with many privileges has been stigmatized from the morning pulpit every day, which has earned President AMLO popularity, despite his few government achievements.

The dismembered opposition waits patiently for the right moment to convince voters of its project.
