In a blistering editorial at the weekend, the newspaper’s board urged voters not to vote for the Donald Trump loyalist. The title of the short article couldn’t have been clearer: “Endorsement: Remember to, do not give your vote to Lauren Boebert.”
“We beg voters in western and southern Colorado not to give Rep. Lauren Boebert their vote,” the editorial started.
Boebert “has spent her time and attempts contributing to the poisonous political surroundings in this country,” the board wrote. And in its place of talking about difficulties appropriate to Coloradans, she just “slings mud,” it added.
The board referred to as out Boebert’s “casual nevertheless crass cruelty, which she places on screen on a day-to-day foundation when in Washington, D.C.”
Last week, Boebert’s GOP main challenger took the strange move of endorsing her Democratic rival Adam Frisch, a former member of the Aspen Town Council.
