Why are few women investing? Daniela Lascuráin, co-founder and Director of Operations at Zumma, an investment platform for women, says that, according to an interview with 250 female investors, not understanding how investment platforms work and distrust of themselves are the main reasons.

Those who dare to invest and cannot understand how the applications work end up stopping using it, but there are also those who distrust the platforms and decide not to invest.

“There is a problem of self-confidence to invest, because lack of financial education and they do not feel accompanied in the process, they do not have experts to approach to understand what they should be investing in or they simply do not have the time to do it”, highlights the entrepreneur.

Women, good investors

Although the women are best investmentsbecause they think more long term, plan before executing, make more informed decisions and with less risk, many times, the lack of financial education causes them to get into debt with the credit card and the interest grows, to the point of doubling or tripling Debt

That is why Daniela, Fernanda de la Colina and Marinella Pinate decided to create Zumma, an investment startup that accompanies women on their financial journey. The platform offers a financial planning product, so that they know each month what they are spending on, what expenses they can save on and the best options to invest.

Daniela specified that when women know their finances well, the platform allows them to create a goal, such as going on a trip or an emergency or retirement fund. Depending on the duration of the goal, the platform offers an investment portfolio.

Earnings depend on goal and profile. If the investment is short-term, the platform will offer lower risk investmentssuch as Cetes or some secure financial product.
