Port operator invests 30 million dollars to increase capacity in Manzanillo container terminal

Guadalajara, Jalisco. With an investment of 30 million dollars, SSA México -subsidiary of the private capital port operator Carrix-, acquired eight new cranes to increase operating capacity and make the Specialized Container Terminal (TEC) in the port of Manzanillo more efficient.

Through a statement, the company reported that there are two Super Post Panamax cranes with state-of-the-art technology to operate in total, 16 Ship To Shore (STS) cranes, as well as six additional RTG-type cranes.

This is “state-of-the-art equipment that will increase the productivity of the most equipped Specialized Container Terminal in the country,” the statement said.
