Dear Richard:

Your Friends and Colleagues, Professors of the Faculty of Law of the UNAM, we recognize you as Graduate of the Postgraduate of the Generation 83-86, of our Maximum House of Studies; and from where you have been teaching the PhD course of our Institution for several years.

The University Community is made up of Fundamental Principles and Substantial Paradigms, whose central axis is the Universality of Thought, but always with respect for the Legal Framework, therefore, the importance of the corresponding “protest” of public servants when starting their assignments that, like you, you have complied with the Constitution and with the Laws that emanate from it. With this, we must remember that “above the Constitution and the Law, Nothing and Nobody”.

However, beyond your political activity, we recognize you as a Fellow and as the Author of various Academic Books about our profession: THE LAW.

We know that one day you will stop being a Senator or Public Servant, but if you continue to defend our Legal Framework, the teaching of Law and Justice, in this Faculty, you will always continue to be well received, because we are united by respect for Law and Vocation To Train Generations of Professionals that open the way for a better and fairer world. Beyond partisan ideologies, in our University Community, DIGNITY is a fundamental value, in the defense of Justice and Law.

For this reason, we want to express Our Solidarity and Affection to you on the occasion of the devious attacks of which you have been a victim in recent weeks. We are very sorry that they use illegitimate and illicit means to defame you and probably to divert the course of your political ascent.

We are your Professor Friends who today feel certainly outraged by the attacks you have received and this document is a testimony of the Unrestricted and Solidarity Support to a University Teacher, of which we give testimony of your work within the Classrooms.

Difficult times are coming and beyond your political paths, you should know that, within our Faculty, there is an intellectual refuge that will always be an anchor for your destiny, as it has been for many of us.
