The CDMX government projects a greater budget increase for the mayors’ offices in 2023

For 2023, a greater budget increase is projected for the mayors than in comparison with the central administration, said the head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

“The city’s debt from the interest rate itself has gone up, it has a natural increase, it’s not that we’re taking on more debt, it’s that the interest payments on the debt are going up,” Sheinbaum said.
