Sam Bankman-Fried is “delusional” about the downfall of FTX and his level of culpability in it, crypto bull Mike Novogratz said Thursday.
The reviews arrived a working day following Bankman-Fried spoke at the New York Times’ DealBook Summit, wherever he experimented with to deny obtaining any awareness of what was going on in his crypto empire.
For illustration, he claimed “didn’t knowingly commingle” FTX client resources with those of Alameda Exploration. “I was not running Alameda. I did not know what was heading on. A great deal of the matters had been issues I uncovered about the past month.”

He extra that Bankman-Fried is possible to confront jail time whilst noting that he didn’t act by itself.
“They perpetuated a big fraud and it was not just Sam,” Novogratz claimed. “You don’t pull this off with a person individual.”
He also claimed he hopes authorities get to the bottom of the FTX collapse, not just for sake of the crypto marketplace but also for all markets.
“Marketplaces are primarily based on have faith in. And when you have believe in broken like this, it concerns absolutely everyone else. People begin on the lookout for black swans everywhere,” Novogratz explained.
