Hikvisiona provider of video solutions with experience in security, began the development of a new line of business in Mexico with the sale of technology screens LED for outdoors and large meeting centers, such as air terminals, shopping malls, stadiums or restaurants.
The company, which in its native China occupies the third position in screens LCD for security and the first place with LED technology equipment, projects a Mexican business of outdoor LED screens with a market value of 40 million dollars and growing at double digits per year.
“If we measure this new niche in money, we calculate a market in Mexico for LED screens for outdoor activity at 40 million dollars a year (…) This is because new, fast-growing projects for the mass public are beginning to appear, and that is where we want to be participating, be it with direct sales to clients or by contest to governments”, said Sergio Souza, director of commercial exhibition of Hikvision Mexico.
The manager exemplified that new infrastructures such as the AIFAthe upcoming airport of Tulum or the Mayan trendrepresent business opportunities for your company, who will be a new participant for Huawei, LG y Samsung as bidders in federal government tenders.
The company will start with scrolling displays for venues such as restaurants, but is also readying video solutions with 110-inch, 300-inch and up to 500-inch sizes.
“The era of bright dynamic LED screens is at its peak (…) It is difficult to imagine any city without a splendid and quality image, located on the walls of houses, shopping malls or business centers (…) Our foray into this market digital signage is no coincidence. There is a whole research and development work behind it to bring another visual experience to the Mexican market,” he said. Sergio Souza.
Hikvision is at the stage of developing sales channels and obtaining certifications to market its LED screens in Mexico. Hikvision recently got a wholesale channel from the hand of Cisco Systems.
“Of the 100% of the screens that are marketed in Mexico, around 10% goes to security solutions. And also of all the screens manufactured here or that arrive for sale here, 70% go to retail for distribution to the consumer. There are also those screens purely for entertainment and for others more for verticals that are appearing. That is where we are entering, trying to open this new division, enabling accessible prices and channels. We already have today Cisco and we come with the addition that we integrate software for the client to distribute content remotely on the screens, a plus that can help us start to gain a share in those 40 million dollars that this market generates”, said the executive from Hikvision.
