An attorney for Trump did not quickly return Insider’s request for comment on Friday.

Regardless of whether Trump can be sued in this circumstance will hinge on the DC Appeals Court final decision, but even if the courtroom regulations in his favor, he’ll have a tough time jogging away from Carroll’s allegations.

On Thanksgiving, Carroll filed a next lawsuit towards Trump, saying battery and a 2nd act of defamation.
