(Trends Wide) — Police in Cobb County, Georgia, responded to “the scene of a shooting at Chastain Meadows Pkwy 2795, where there are several injuries,” reported in a tweet.
According to the same message, the situation no longer poses a threat to the public.
“There is no active shooter,” Cobb County police, where Marietta is located, added.
“The initial investigation is still pending,” a spokesman for the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff’s office and other area agencies are on the scene at a Walmart store, agents told Trends Wide.
Trends Wide has reached out to a Walmart representative and fire officials for comment.
