Las stock exchanges of Mexico closed the negotiations this Friday with a strong decrease. Indices turned red at the end of a negative week, in line with their US peers, on fears of an extension of the rate hike period.
The leading index S&P/BMV IPC from Mexican stock exchange (BMV), made up of the 35 most liquid shares in the domestic market, lost 1.2% and closed at 50,466.25 points. The FTSE BIVAfrom Institutional Stock Market (Biva), lost 121% to 1,051.69 units.

Within the benchmark, most components ended the session with losses, with 27 stocks in the red and eight in the green. The worst decreases were suffered by OMA, with 3.64%; the media giant Televisa, with 2.93%, and Cuervo, with 2.77 percent.
Markets fell after learning that US producer inflation rose more than expected in November. Next week the market awaits consumer inflation data from that country and a new rate increase from the Federal Reserve.
The S&P/BMV IPC reference index linked a second negative week by falling 1.50% from the close of 51,234.37 units last Friday. Compared to its close of 1,067.60 units last week, the FTSE BIVA marked a loss of 1.49 percent.
