A potential winner could opt for a one-time lump-sum cash payment of approximately $255.3 million.
There have been four Powerball jackpot winners in 2025. The most recent prize of $204.5 million was won in California on May 31. The year’s first jackpot, worth $328.5 million, was claimed by a player in Oregon on January 18. Subsequent grand prizes included a $527 million win in California on March 29 and a $167.3 million win in Kentucky on April 26.

### How to Play Powerball
To play, a ticket costs $2 per entry. Participants must select five numbers from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball number from 1 to 26. For an additional dollar, players can add the “Power Play” option, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10 times.
