The Mexican peso appreciated slightly on Monday, thus spinning five consecutive sessions of gains in a thin market at the beginning of the last week of the year.
The domestic currency was trading at 19.3400 per dollar, with a marginal advance of 0.02% against Friday’s Reuters reference price.
“Due to the low volume, we expect the price to respect a range between 19.30 and 19.45,” Grupo Financiero Monex said in an analysis note.
In the last five days, the peso accumulated a gain of 2.3 percent.
