No ticket matched all six numbers to claim the grand prize. However, two tickets sold in New York matched the five white balls to win significant prizes. One winner will receive $2 million with a 2x multiplier, while the other will collect $3 million due to a 3x multiplier.
The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, at 11 p.m.
To play, participants choose five numbers from 1 to 70 and one Mega Ball number from 1 to 24, or they can opt for a Quick Pick. Each $5 ticket includes a randomly assigned multiplier that increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four, five, or ten times. In Michigan, ticket sales cease at 10:45 p.m. on the night of the draw.
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 290,472,336. Prizes are awarded for various winning combinations, from matching just the Mega Ball to matching all five white balls.
Jackpot winners have two payout options. They can select the annuity, which provides an immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that each increase by 5%, or a one-time lump-sum cash payment equal to the prize pool.
