Guillermo Valls is the new president of the TFJA

The Plenary of the Superior Chamber of the Federal Court of Administrative Justice (TFJA) elected with nine votes Guillermo Valls Esponda as the new president of the Federal Court of Administrative Justice (TFJA) for the period 2023-2025. Guillermo Valls won the vote against Judge Luz María Anaya and Judge Julián Olivas.

In a statement about his work proposal, the new President commented before the Superior Chamber of the court that the use of information and communication technology should be intensified for the good of all interested parties.

“I propose to evolve the digital services from a traditional connectivity to an intelligent and automated one that allows progress to an operable and executable online trial with an electronic file that is easy to access and consult”, he said before the magistrates.

In this sense, he added that it will also promote decision-making supported by the digital processing of information through the use of artificial intelligence in benefits of the litigants and public servants of the TFJA.

“Recognize the use of technologies that can be used to substantiate the procedure to digitally display the administrative files in those trials processed in the traditional way with security measures to guarantee their integrity,” Valls commented.

The new manager of SWITCH OFF He explained that the procedures will be facilitated and the processes will be expedited, in addition to reducing costs for the benefit of prompt, expeditious and accessible justice.

Valls Esponda has a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana, and a master’s degree in Law from the Boston University School of Law, in Boston, United States.

Prior to his appointment as President, Valls Esponsa worked as a magistrate of the Superior Chamber of the Federal Court of Administrative Justice.

In addition, he has a track record in the federal public sector since he worked in the Attorney General of the Republic, He served as coordinator of International Affairs and Attaché Offices, as well as legal attaché for Europe. While in the Ministry of Public Function, he was head of the Internal Control Body.
