The Mexican stock market operates with losses on Tuesday after a positive opening. The local market falls, in line with its peers Wall Streetwhich also began its first session of the year on positive ground, but lost strength in the course of the negotiations.

benchmark S&P/BMV IPC from Mexican stock exchange (BMV), which measures the 35 most liquid shares in the country, fell a moderate 0.15% to 0.18% and to 48,921.94 points. The FTSE BIVAfrom Institutional Stock Exchange (Biva), falls 0.09% to 1,023.08 points.

Within the reference index, there are more securities with losses, with 19 in red and 16 titles in green. The losses are led by the shares of the airport Asur, with a fall of 1.92%; Regional, which loses 1.80%, and Grupo Elektra, with 1.74 percent.

In the gains, the titles of the mining companies Industrias Peñoles stand out, with 4.21%, and Grupo México, with an advance of 1.90%, in addition to the Arca Continental bottling company, which rises 1.29 percent.
