CDMX Prosecutor’s Office continues investigation into minister Yasmín Esquivel’s thesis

The Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) assured that it prescribed the crime of plagiarism that Minister Yasmín Esquivel Mossa denounced about her bachelor’s thesis. However, she indicated that she continues the investigation into this fact, for which she denied having concluded that the minister’s thesis project is the original.

It should be noted that the image of a document circulated on social networks where the Prosecutor’s Office supposedly concluded that the Minister’s thesis was original and ruled out plagiarism.

However, through a card, the FGJCDMX ignored said image, and stressed that it is still waiting for data that Minister Esquivel will provide to continue the investigation, despite the fact that the crime that he denounced has already prescribed.

“Likewise, it received documentaries that the complainant exhibited and is awaiting others that the complainant mentioned that she would present later. However, given the temporality of the facts and the existence of the prescription, the Public Ministry resolved the No Exercise of Criminal Action in that research folder.

“This Prosecutor’s Office has not ruled at any time on the subject nor has it made public any conclusion in the sense that the complainant was a victim of plagiarism. In this sense, the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office is unaware of the document, of a communication type, that circulates through different media and social networks, where reference is made, on behalf of this institution, of alleged conclusions on the aforementioned complaint,” he said.
