PRI proposes to restore the Capital Fund to maintain the CDMX Metro

Faced with the increasingly frequent accidents in the Mexico City Metro, the national leader of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (AT), Alejandro Moreno, considered it urgent that the Congress of the Union restore the Capital Fundso that its resources are destined to the maintenance of the Collective Transport System (STC). He said that by 2024 5,000 million pesos could be allocated to it.

After the train crash on Line 3 of the Metro, he explained that by 2024 an amount of 5,000 million pesos could be allocated to this fund, in order to address the deterioration of the network and improve the conditions of the 195 Metro stations. .

He affirmed that with the government of Morena the Capital Fund It has been left at zero, when in 2018 2,500 million pesos were allocated to it.

The Capital Fund was elevated to constitutional rank in 2016, and despite this, in recent years the Federal Executive has not allocated resources to it in the Expenses budget.

With this fund, the costs associated with the condition of the Mexico Cityparticularly in terms of road infrastructure and public transport, public safety, environment and civil protection, among others.

In 2017, 2,450 million pesos were approved; in 2016, 4,000 million pesos were allocated to it and in 2015 about 3,500 million pesos.
