The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) reported that, at the request of the authorities of the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAAfor its acronym in English), the high-level meeting scheduled for January 12 in Mexico on the occasion of the process of return to category 1 was postponed.
The reason for changing the date of the meeting was the technical problems that the agency suffered in its systems this Wednesday morning.
“The FAA communicated that it is still working to restore the problem, after a major interruption,” the SICT detailed in a statement.
It is intended that the new visit date be as soon as possible.
�� The meeting was originally scheduled for this January 12, 2023. However, the FAA requested to reschedule the meeting and make the visit to Mexico as soon as possible. The above due to the technical problems that the agency suffered in its systems today.

Given the problems in their systems, the FAA ordered the airlines to USA to suspend all domestic departures until further notice, in order to allow the integrity of flight and security information to be validated.
